Risima Housing Finance Delivers Hope Through Lulekani CSI Housing Project Polokwane
Risima Housing Finance has proudly partnered with the Office of the Premier of Limpopo to provide a formal dwelling for a young mother in Lulekani, following the medical separation of her conjoined twins. This initiative underscores Risima’s commitment to social responsibility and its mandate to deliver affordable housing solutions to the citizens of Limpopo Province.
The project was officially launched at a sod-turning ceremony on 23 March 2026, attended by Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba, the MEC for LEDET, representatives from the Phalaborwa Municipality, and members of the Risima Board of Directors. At the event, the Premier expressed gratitude to Risima for stepping forward to support a vulnerable family in need.
Stakeholder engagement has been central to the project’s success, with collaboration between traditional leadership, provincial government, and local municipalities. The Tribal Authority, led by Chief Ntsanwisi, alongside representatives from the Department of Social Development, played a key role in identifying and confirming the site for development.
Construction of the house has now been completed, and the property will be officially handed over to the beneficiary on Wednesday, 8 July 2026. The home has been registered in the beneficiary’s name and enrolled with the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC), ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Beyond its humanitarian impact, the Lualekani Housing Project strengthens Risima’s brand presence and reputation. By visibly contributing to social development, Risima demonstrates ethical leadership and reinforces public trust among communities, stakeholders, and clients. The initiative aligns with the organisation’s Corporate Social Investment objectives and sustainability narrative, showcasing effective governance and stakeholder collaboration.
Quote from Risima CEO, Dr. S. Nokaneng: “This project is more than just a house—it is a symbol of dignity, safety, and hope. It reflects our values as an organisation and our commitment to supporting communities in meaningful ways.”
